Valentines Crafts For Preschoolers

For Valentine's Day, crafts usually involve a lot of hearts and that is usually the standard for decoration. But there are also a lot of creative Valentines Crafts For Preschoolers that teachers can do that are not only limited to hearts on paper. Preschoolers do not really know much about the composition of a letter beyond dear mom and dad and I love you, so why not have them make something to give to their parents that may not need to have anything written on it? Fun jewelry is always a hit with kids and they always love to see their parents wearing their creations. Macaroni necklaces are very popular and they can be strung with cut outs of hearts for a change for the occasion. While cards are usually the normal craft for kids in school, they could also be encouraged to do things with other materials as well. They could also craft hearts from clay or paper mache for an added challenge. But these kinds of Valentines Crafts For Preschoolers should only be reserved for preschoolers who understand that glue is not edible and that certain things need time to harden. Having them decorate special cupcakes for their parents can also be a fun treat, but be warned, the cupcakes do not always make it to their parents and may not last beyond the second that a child steps out of the room. For this reason, put the treats in a sealed box or take a picture of the treat before letting the child take it home and email the photo to the parents just in case the box never makes it home and the parents have no idea that the child had labored over a treat.
